Last chance blogging

Hiya peeps, the Wizard has returned from Christmas vacation and is none the worse for wear. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and the weather was wonderful. I even snuck in a round of golf with Dad(a.k.a. Papi) and my new brother Donny. I didn't score well, but we had fun anyway. Our Christmas eve celebration, Noche Buena for the initiated, was a hit with tons of food and drink and lots of revellers. Annabelle slept through most of it, but everyone seemed to have a great time regardless. Annabelle had a wonderful time and acquired few new skills thanks to her Nona(a.k.a. grandmother). I will toss some pictures up for your enjoyment before this gigantic thunderstorm disrupts our power service. I will be doing my best to post as much as possible for the rest of the year, so be sure to keep your mouse handy. In the meantime, have a blast!

Is it winter yet???

Tomorrow is the official beginning of winter, but it seems to have started early here in the valley. It was bone-chilling this morning and the truck couldn't heat up fast enough. I am looking forward to tomorrow because we will be flying for warmer climes down south in Florida. We are becoming snowbirds! I want to wish all my readers a Feliz Navidad and Happy Hanukkah. Annabelle will be taking her first trip in Papi' s plane tomorrow, and she is sure to have a great time visiting with everyone. Wifey and I agree that it is time to get out of here and have some fun, so blogging may be light. Merry Christmas and enjoy these pictures I found in a forgotten folder. God bless and good night.

Bonjour!

Hello loyal fans, the Wizard has returned! Well, not returned, exactly....I didn't ever leave. I guess I just took a little hiatus from blogging last week. I hope you are all doing better than the last time I posted, I know I certainly am. I have had a lot of fun spending quality time with the family and getting ready for Christmas. Wifey and I went on our first outing sans baby last week, thanks to Meg a.k.a. babysitter-extraordinaire. We snuck out to the movies to watch Walk the Line-the new film portraying the life and times of Johnny Cash. We both enjoyed it thoroughly and highly recommend you check it out ASAP! I am currently off work and enjoying spending time with little Annabelle, who is not so little anymore. It is truly unbelievable how quickly these baby humans develop. Her grandparents will certainly be blown away by how much she has changed since they last saw her. I have a bunch of new pics of our little one which I will post for your viewing pleasure. Stay warm and happy!

First Impressions

The first thing I saw this morning when I walked out the front door was a frost-covered car in the driveway. As I walked up the driveway to my truck the mailbox caught my eye. It was beginning to be warmed by the dawn sun and the frost gave the appearance of smoke rising off the illuminated portions of the box. I paused for a moment to enjoy the scene that would be gone in a few short minutes. Sometimes that is all it takes to start the day right. A brief moment to appreciate the beauty that surrounds me with every new day. I thought about running back inside to snap a picture for your enjoyment, but I decided to continue on to work. Tomorrow I have a day off with Wifey, so maybe I will get a second opportunity to get an image of today's first impression. Have a great evening and enjoy a moment.

Technical Difficulties

That was one serious hiatus! I know you may be considering sending out a search party after not getting a new post in so long it's almost criminal. Well don't be a hater, 'cause it ain't my fault. My AC converter for the laptop burned out and I had to get a new one. No worries, it was covered under warranty. So far the death toll is one battery and one AC converter. I'm hoping that extended warranty will pay off! So much has happened it is tough to find a good place to start. I'll try to keep it short. Raced to airport. Lost belt at security. Arrive D.C. Passed the time enjoyably with family. Revenga! Home alone Pt.3(unwritten) Back to the airport(unwritten) Reunited...and it feels so good!(unwritten). Shopper's Delight. Someday my powercord will arrive. That pretty much gets us up to right now. I am currently jamming out to some old favorites and new tunes courtesy of PANDORA. Thanks bro, the site is awesome! So far it gets the thumbs up. I'm cooking right now and I don't want to burn my bleu polenta, so I'm going to sign off. More to come.
