Fin

Well, I have all but written off blogging for this month. This has certainly been my least productive time period as it pertains to blogging. There have been a lot of other things going on so I am sure you will forgive me. The kitchen has been almost completely assembled and looks spectacular. I am excited for all this craziness to be over so I can get back to cooking and relaxing a bit when I get home, but for now there is a lot that remains to be finished. Since the new house is in a livable condition, the focus has shifted to preparing the old house for sale. We are hoping to have it ready for showing this weekend, but that means mucho trabajo for yours truly. Luckily, Wifey's parents(a.k.a.-M.I.L. and Raynolfo) are in town and have generously provided some much-needed manpower and babysitting assistance. Thank you mucho! Tomorrow I will be finishing off my workweek and starting my landscaping duties at our old abode. Fortunately, the weather should be mild and conducive to working in the yard like a Mexican on amphetamines. So now I am going to kick my feet up, crack open a beer, and enjoy tonight's episode of The Shield. Gotta relax when you can in this crazy thing called life.

P.S.-Got a little sad today when I realized I will most likely not be here to enjoy America's tricentennial. Funny how mortality sneaks up on you in the weirdest ways. Hmmm.

We're Here!

Yes, this is going to be another exercise in brevity. Sorry, but there is still lots to be done and blogging is on the back burner. We have successfully moved into our new house! I am blogging courtesy of a neighbor's unsecured wireless network, tee hee. Our cable is due to be turned on today and I have to traipse off to work shortly so Wifey is going to be in charge of the casa. The animals seem to enjoy the new space and Annabelle seems content and curious. Aside from a few strange noises, we were able to sleep well last night. It still does not feel real, but I think once we settle in a bit more the excitement will hit us. Have a great day and lift with your legs.

Short

Busy, busy. Annabelle gives high fives. Wifey is a master packer. Moving soon, very soon. Lots to be done. No time to blog, only time to pack. Good night.

Does this guy blog anymore?

The answer is a resounding YES! I know I have been gone for a little while and I hope my absence was noticed. It was, however, not without good reason. We have been heavily occupied with the finer details of purchasing a new home and preparing to vacate our current premises. We are still going to be living in the greater Knoxville area, just a lot closer to my job and in a larger space that will be able to accommodate our expanding family and allow us to have guests over without sitting on each others' laps. The area we are relocating to is officially known as the town of Farragut, an upscale section of west Knoxvegas that was incorporated in 1980. It was originally farmland and now qualifies as "the suburbs", although the area has grown exponentially in the past 10 years. The town boasts some of the area's best schools and the landscape is still dotted with enough pristine areas to be considered picturesque. I am really looking forward to a three mile commute, down from the current 35. Wifey and Annabelle are doing wonderfully and are both getting excited for the big move. Tonight we celebrated Valentine's day with a delicious home cooked meal and romantic evening together. Absolutely fabulous! Gotta run, have a great evening and I'll be back soon.

WTF???

I am so sorry. I don't know what is going on with the Vsocial video hosting this week. I have written numerous emails to technical support with no responses yet. Yes, it is in the beta phase, and yes, it is free, but come on people, get it together....my readers deserve their videos! I am hoping they will eventually upload, but then again as big Ben said, nothing is certain except death and taxes. C'est la vie. Moving from disappointment to anxiety, Wifey and I have spent the last few days hammering out an offer on our prospective new house. Everything has progressed well so far, but nothing is ever certain until the papers are signed and the keys are in hand. The abode itself is gorgeous and it is a lot closer to work, so the truck may actually be around for a while longer. The FOR SALE sign has garnered a lot of interest, but everyone seems to think a used truck should cost $2000 or less for some reason. Not to worry, once the sign comes down I should be done fielding phone calls from random idiots. Annabelle is six months old! Can you believe it? She grows so quickly, you can almost watch it happening hourly. She goes to the Doc on Monday and we are anticipating a sparkling checkup. Wifey is finally finishing off her cold and feeling better daily. I was beginning to get a bit concerned about her illness lasting for so long, but all she needed was a little extra rest and some TLC. My 91 year-old grandmother(I can't believe this is the first time I have mentioned her) had a mild stroke recently and is scheduled for surgery on Monday to clear an obstructed carotid artery. Judging from how nervous I was after merely hearing those words, I am sure she is worrying a lot...she hates the hospital. Please say a prayer for her speedy recuperation from a successful procedure. She and her husband(a.k.a. Grandpa) are continuing to deal with the aftermath of a recent house fire that has left their living situation discombobulated, so this added stress is surely unneeded. Luckily, those are two of the most resilient people I know and if anyone can persevere, they can. Knoxville is cooling off from the abnormally warm weather we have been experiencing and it is back to being wintertime. I guess Puxatawney Phil was right after all. Oh, be sure to check out Dr. Kronski's most recent accolade, getting a fantastic short story published! Nice job, bro...you da bomb! I am fading fast, so I will have to continue the updating later. In the meantime I promise to think of more things to post about until the video clips finally start working again! Good night, Good health, and Good bye.
