Home Alone 2

Well, it's even quieter tonight than yesterday and I am feeling a little lonely. I took my favorite four legged friend to the kennel tonight, so it is just me and the cat in the casa. He is alright, but the conversation is better with Wifey, the petting is better with Cassidy, and the cuteness of Annabelle is unequalled. That being said, however, I guess quality time with the cat is not a terrible sentence. I am just ready to get this traveling started. I will do my best to post over the holidays, but if I don't, you can look forward to some family pics coming your way sooner or later. Until next time, keep warm and laugh.
P.S.-Hello Wifey, I love you!

Home Alone

The house is quiet and the bed somehow seems larger. The baby monitor is turned off and there are no bottles on the counter. What is going on? The Wifey and Annabelle have left me alone and taken an airplane flight east. Not to worry, we will be reuniting soon in Maryland to spend the holidays with Wifey's side of our ever-expanding family. The eminent Dr. Kronski and his wife J-Net have made the journey from the opposite coast and I am excited to see them. We have not laid eyes on each other since their wedding and I can't wait to see them with the little one. Watch out you two, those things are highly contagious! Work has been a little challenging as of late, but everything seems to be settling down thanks to some hard work and managerial wizardry, natch. So what am I doing with my time while I'm playing zookeeper? Nothing too exciting, just watching tv and trying to enjoy as much uninterrupted sleep as humanly possible. I did learn about an interesting new hobby/activity called geocaching. Finally, technology is being used to make us MORE active instead of bolting us to the furniture. I really like the idea of a worldwide treasure hunt and this sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I have a sneaky suspicion this adventure idea may have been developed by the GPS manufacturers themselves, but maybe just that's my inner conspiracy theorist typing. I'll have to wait to experience geocaching until I get a GPS unit, so as soon as that happens, I'll let you know. I may have to buy some stock in Garmin if this thing keeps growing. Well, I am ready for bed so I have to wind it down. Hope this post finds you happy and healthy.

It's a dark day on ol' Rocky Top

Even the newscasters seemed mournful after today's bitter addition to the shame that is Tennessee football this year. At least it's almost over. Ouch.

Picture problems

Okay, I haven't come through with the pictures I promised earlier today. Don't break out the pitchforks and torches yet, my faithful readers, because it ain't my fault. The server that I use to post my pics is down, and Google is working to get it back online. I hope it comes up soon, but until then I will do my best to keep you entertained with letters.

Tin Daze?

So the question is...How long will you wait to read another post from the Wizard? Hopefully a few of you are left to read this new post. Sorry for not updating sooner, but I have been fully engaged in family and work for the past few days. Both are doing well and I appreciate your patience in the meantime. The weather here has turned chilly and all the leaves are now covering our lawn. We spent yesterday rearranging our rooms and the results are fantastic. We ended up making three functional rooms without buying a single piece of furniture! What a difference it made. We now have two play areas for Annabelle and plenty of room to walk around. We can even accommodate her chair and swing. The dog and the cat seem to enjoy the changes as well. I found a great website with a room arranger program that really helped save some time and helped us visualize how we wanted the space to be set up without lifting anything but our fingers. Check it out here! I am looking forward to watching Annabelle crawl around in our redesigned digs soon. In the meantime I will post some pics for you all to enjoy. Stay safe and warm!
