The way of the future....

Wifey and I just finished watching Martin Scorsese's The Aviator. I was impressed with Leonardo DiCaprio's acting, although I am not typically a big fan of his. Cate Blanchett did a great job as Katherine Hepburn. The historical accuracy was spot on and the effects were excellent. It evoked quite a bit of sympathy for the increasingly erratic Howard Hughes and did a good job of portraying his adversarial relationship with Juan Trippe of Pan Am. Overall I though it was a superb movie that I would recommend without reservation. I caught a little bit of the U.S. Open today and look forward to seeing how it all plays out tomorrow.
